Why Avocados Should Not Exist
While we usually take Avocados for granted, we shouldn’t. At least according to scientists they should have been extinct a long time ago, had it not been for the Hunter Gatherers of old who decided to settle down and grow them — and named them āhuacatl, which in good English means testicles.
Go figure why.
Yes, Avocados are a fruit. They may be ‘green’ and look and taste like something a vegetable should look and taste like, but they are a fruit. Also, they are actually berries. To make their existence even more confusing, we know now that they are among the oldest fruits still around in somewhat their original form.
